Funded Education for Eligible Workers and Their Children

A separate education route linked with the Workers Welfare Board, with its own eligibility rules, documents and approval process.

What this programme is

The Free Education programme is designed for eligible workers and their children under the applicable Workers Welfare Board or Workers Welfare Fund framework. It is separate from merit scholarships, need-based support and the international route to Thailand.

Who may qualify

Eligibility depends on the worker’s employment, registration and supporting records, as well as the student’s academic position and the rules in force for the relevant intake. Do not assume eligibility based only on occupation or family relationship; the complete documents must be assessed.

What you may need

The current checklist may include the worker’s CNIC, employment or factory record, Social Security or EOBI evidence, the student’s identity and academic documents, family relationship evidence and other declarations required by the funding authority. Admissions will provide the current checklist.

Study options

Funded places may be available across selected intermediate, associate or degree programmes, subject to approval and the scheme’s current scope. The exact programme list must be confirmed before application.

How the process works

First, speak to the Free Education team and receive the current eligibility checklist. Second, submit complete documents for initial review. Third, correct any missing or inconsistent record. Fourth, wait for formal approval before treating the place as funded. Never pay an unauthorised person to secure approval.

Costs and coverage

The items covered by the scheme can change and may not be identical for every programme or student. Ask for written confirmation of tuition, admission, examination, transport, hostel or other covered and non-covered costs before accepting the place.
